About this run
Carey's Denim Dash is an annual 5k race held in Overland Park, KS, in honor of Carey Berger. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for Love Enough 4 U, a Missouri 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This charity supports teens and young adults in accessing drug and alcohol treatment programs, specifically at Enthusiastic Sobriety Approach recovery centers, for those who would otherwise be unable to afford the costs.
The race was established to honor Carey Berger's passion for helping others and to make a positive impact within the community. Proceeds from Carey's Denim Dash are intended to improve local youth access to treatment at Crossroads, a local enthusiastic sobriety treatment center. The goal is to offer young adults struggling with addiction the chance for sobriety and a new outlook on life, regardless of financial challenges.
Participants are encouraged to wear their best denim outfit for a chance to win a prize. The event also features a raffle and opportunities to donate, get involved, and learn more about the mission and impact of Love Enough 4 U.
