South Mountain Baptist Camp was founded in 1957 in the South Mountains of North Carolina to provide an environment that fosters spiritual growth.  Students and adults alike can disconnect from the world to be able to connect with God. Time in nature, being exposed to new skills, intentional teaching in both small and large groups, recreation, and spending time with friends - both new and old, all enable campers to learn about Jesus Christ and the message of salvation. SMBC was founded to offer an affordable camp option, and we seek to remain true to that mission.  Each camper fee is offset by around $100.  In 2027, a 5 day, 4 night camp will be $205!  Proceeds from each race goes directly to the camp’s operating budget to sustain these rates. This race celebrates God’s work through SMBC. Join us by running, walking, volunteering, or cheering the participants on!
